Go to: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
Please select the corresponding installer for your computer system
Click to proceed to download page, and click on the Audacity Installer
Click Save File
Once downloaded, double click to install
Proceed with the directions on the screen to complete the Audacity installation
Once you have Audacity installed, please follow directions below to install the LAME MP3 Converter, which is a PlugIn necessary to convert your recorded renditions from .wav to .mp3 file extension.
Go to: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows
o Click on LAME MP3 Encoder
o Click on LAME Download Page
o Click corresponding with your Computer System to download
o After downloading, Click Run à Click Next à Accept Agreement & Click Next à Click Next à Click Install à Click Finish
Open Audacity
o Make sure your equipment (head set, microphone, speakers) is properly working
o Click on the Record button (red circle)
o To stop recording, click on Stop button (olive square)
o To listen to your recording, simply click on Play button (green triangle)
After recording the rendition Click on File Click on Export Click OK, and save the file accordingly.
